Wilt wins top awards at Iowa Numismatic Show

Iowa liberal arts admissions show flexibility and honors option
Iowa liberal arts admissions rely on high school rank with test scores for lower halves and probation for borderline students. About 3,797 liberal arts freshmen applied. 3,324 were admitted unconditionally, 69 on probation, 247 rejected, 157 dropped out. The university also admitted 50 students with D averages, many veterans, and aims to attract the middle third through honors tracks to separate average from superior students. Dean Stuit notes current programs already serve both groups, with around 900 students in honors by now.
