Seniors tilt juniors as sophs down freshies
An enjoyable evening at GHS gym featured intramural girls basketball. Sophomores beat freshmen 22 to 19 with Marleen Mathers scoring 16 for the losers and Bev Robinette posting 12 for the winners. Seniors defeated Juniors 20 to 19 on a last second shot by Mary Meis who led with 10. LeAnne Litzmann and Mary Schaef led the juniors in scoring.

Mission Queen Drive Raises Funds For Missions
The annual Mission Queen drive begins on Ash Wednesday and runs through Easter to support missions. Students are urged to give generously during Lent. The drive ends with the Mission Queen Dance the Friday after Easter, with the Queen chosen from the senior class and an attendant from each grade. Each class meeting its two dollar per student quota selects an attendant.
