Gordon L. Mennen of Le Mars reports January 1972 savings bond sales in Plymouth county reached 51,950 dollars, 11 percent of the county quota. Iowa January sales totaled 8,976,844 dollars, up over December 1971 by more than 2,000,000 and 31,400,000 above January 1971, with 11 percent of the state quota of 84,900,000 reached. Other area counties show varied results: Sioux 38,806 dollars 9 percent, Woodbury 457,206 dollars 16 percent, Cherokee 22,152 dollars 7 percent.
