Westmar summer session opens with 218 enrollments
Westmar college opened its summer session on Wednesday morning with 218 students. Dr G O Thompson says this matches typical enrollment for a summer term. The first term ends July 7 and the second runs July 8 to August 12. Graduation prospects look strong for the August 11 exercises. Driver training remains offered and home economics students will use the new building. Renovations force classes to other campus buildings as social events are planned, including an all school picnic. Birth announcements include a son for Mr and Mrs Bernard Thornton of Le Mars, a daughter for Mr and Mrs James Thompson of Cleghorn, and a daughter for Mr and Mrs Wesley Orban of Hawarden.
