U S Marine Corps Captain Alan Jones a Le Mars native prepares to start a 100 mile run at 9 am Wednesday from Fort Dodge to Pillsbury Point on West Okoboji Lake. He plans to complete the feat in about 24 hours after last summer swimming the Mississippi River.
Larry L. Legge formerly with Roseberry Down and Bauerly in Le Mars has moved to Sibley to serve as associate in the E. H. Philiph law office starting Jan 3. Legge, 27, was admitted to the Iowa Bar in January and Nebraska Bar in June. He is married to Randy King of Orange City and they own a mobile home now moved to Sibley.
Western Iowa Tech Community College directors approved a 950 foot radio tower project for KWIT-FM at the beef feedlot site and reviewed bids from Advance Industries 213950 Stainless Inc 232135 and Collins Radio Group with two bids 22820 and 235000. Gerald Calhoun was hired as chief engineer for KWIT-FM effective Jan 3. The board backed building committee plans to fix exhaust deficiencies in the Para professional building and discussed shared computer services with area districts.
