Mrs Vernon Agnes DeRaad of rural Le Mars sustained two fractures of her right leg after slipping on ice in the farm yard Wednesday. She crawled to the house where her husband aided her, the leg was set at a Le Mars doctor’s office, and she wears a cast from toes to hip while recuperating at home.
The M G Irwin insurance agency of Merrill says a Daily Sentinel item about a lawsuit against a Hinton couple was in error. They state the suit was dismissed and the amount due paid by Mr and Mrs Alan Sipma. Larry Donlin of Le Mars says a second suit filed by Pat Kennedy has also been settled.
In a mail bag to the editor Sue Frerichs announces no issue during Christmas vacation starting December 21. The next issue will appear in the January 11 edition. She thanks readers and wishes a happy new year on behalf of herself and advisor Mrs. Bielenberg.
