Public urged to send toys treats and clothing to the Forgotten Ones at the Mental Health Institute Cherokee to brighten Christmas. Wards will hold morning religious services and afternoon gift distributions with ward trees and radio TV entertainment. Include list of contents and sizes on parcels. avoid matches lighters and medicines.

Obituary notes Van Buskirk born July 11 1881 in Scott County Iowa. He lived in Plymouth County as a youth and moved to Le Mars in 1913. Survived by wife Minnie two daughters Mrs Cleo Hornburg of Chicago and Mrs Iris Foff of Copperhill Virginia a brother Seward Van Buskirk of Ireton a sister Mrs A J Gamble of Sioux City and seven grandchildren. A brother William Archie Van Buskirk 71 died November 30. Burial in Floyd Cemetery.
Alma L Lewis 68 died at a Sioux City hospital after a two week illness. Born June 6 1890 in Ireton she moved to Sioux City as a child. She married Charles G Lewis Feb 28 1913 and they farmed near Jefferson South Dakota until 1951. Survived by her widower six sons two daughters 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
