Plymouth county Farm Bureau women held a December 1 salad luncheon at the meeting room. Mrs. Lawrence Green of Sioux Center spoke on the governor's conference on Iowa in the year 2000 with four topics natural resources energy economic development and life enhancement. The program included a Gourmet Gal demonstration and a bicentennial themed pie.
Members of the Sunshine club are to meet this Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Clayton Roth. All members are urged to attend as names of needy persons will be drawn and each member will prepare a Christmas basket for their assigned recipient.
The Lundstroms family crusade titled The Lundstroms Headin West will air on KCAU TV Sioux City tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. The show features a singing family on a Greyhound bus delivering a salvation message with an entertaining gunfight scene. The same program will be shown Tuesday on KELO TV in Sioux Falls.
Elizabeth Thomas of English Valleys Nursing Care in North English and Ora Paxson of Manor House in Sigourney both celebrated turning 100. Paxson, a resident with six children, 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, marked the milestone among family and friends.
