Airman Marcel R. Konz son of Mr and Mrs Robert J Konz Route 1 Mars Tex has graduated at Sheppard AFB from the training course for U S Air Force jet aircraft mechanics. He trained to repair jet fighters and returns to his Iowa Air National Guard unit. He is a 1969 Remsen Union High School graduate.

Mrs. Augusta Schumann Held, 89, of Los Angeles and former Hinton resident, died last Wednesday. Funeral services were held Saturday at Nelson Berger Northside funeral home Sioux City with Rev. Curtis H. Lundahl officiating. Burial in Graceland Park cemetery. Born June 28, 1880, at Stanton, she lived in Los Angeles the past 20 years and was a member of the United Evangelical church at Hinton. Survivors include son Milton of San Francisco, daughters Mrs. Gladys Rosburg and Mrs. Phyllis Kramer of Los Angeles, six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
