Doon milk cow dies of rabies after skunk bite
Doon area report says Henry Van Tols milk cow died Tuesday from rabies diagnosed by a veterinarian. The animal likely was bitten by a rabid skunk about two weeks earlier near the Van Tols farm one mile south and east of Doon. Mrs Van Tol noted a large dog had a skunk encounter two weeks ago. the dog is now well after anti rabies shots.
