Kurth buys Dance Mor ballroom in Le Mars
Jerry Kurth of Le Mars purchased the Dance Mor ballroom from Paul Meyers of Fort Dodge and plans to lease the building from Kohout Manufacturing Co. The venue, opened six months ago, will maintain teen dances every two weeks and host adult dances, square dancing, and meetings for clubs and groups. Kurth also serves as KLEM sports director and Westmar College sports writer, and will be a sophomore IPS employee. Steve Moritz Injured In Remsen Bike Crash
Steve Moritz 15 of Remsen sustained a head injury when the motorbike he rode with Steve Berendes 15 struck the rear of a moving car in southeast Remsen. Moritz was admitted to Floyd Valley hospital about 8 p.m. Wednesday and released Thursday morning.
