Beck charts path to better agriculture for Iowa

Editorial lauds Robert Beck of Centerville for a major farm policy speech in Marshalltown. Beck calls for industrial growth linked to farming, a farm factory team, and a national farm conference led by the U S Secretary of Agriculture with participation from farm groups, state departments, land grant colleges, economists, and industry. He argues a conference can yield better agricultural policies and break bureaucratic rigidity.
