Mr and Mrs Walter Good Good of Dearborn Michigan welcomed Ray Edmonds on Tuesday for a social visit with Mrs Greatly enjoyed by all present highlighting local ties and family hospitality in the community.
The 11th annual event runs Wednesday and Thursday Aug 14 15 in Remsen featuring carnival refreshment and lunch stands a flower and garden show and commercial and machinery exhibits A colt show at 130 pm Aug 14 and a baby beef show at 2 pm Aug 15 with an open beef auction at 8 pm Free ice cream cones noon 6 pm Aug 14 a kids parade 715 pm with prizes and Le Mars Drum and Bugle corps entertainment Plymouth Maids Sweet Adelines perform at 7 pm Thursday night A teenage street dance is planned both nights and Mr and Mrs Charles depart for a Canada vacation.

Cedar County led in oats per acre at 91.8. Webster County led soybeans with 3,421,000 bushels. The Afternoon circle of St James Altar Society meets Monday at 2 pm at the parish hall. hostesses invite friends.
