Merrill Melbourne Evangelical United Brethren Church announces a worship service at 11:00 a.m. led by Pastor Delburn D. Kurtz. An evening service is set for 8:00 p.m. A prayer meeting and Bible study follow.
Tuesday evening at the church is noted with upcoming events Friday choir practice at the church. Sunday October 8 begins the evangelistic series continuing to October 10. Speaker Rev Claude M Sailhammer missionary to Mexico will present pictures of the Mexican people Sunday evening. Prayer meeting 7:45 pm services at 8:00 pm.
Marjorie Morehead hosted the Johnson Junior Homemakers 4-H Club Friday evening September 24. Seven members answered roll call and an interesting occurrence during summer vacation was noted. Mrs. C Braun and Mrs. C Jensen, leaders, attended along with club officers.
In October the club elected officers including President Carol Jensen Vice President Shirley Herman Secretary Paula Pausch Treasurer Doris He er and Historian Joyce Peters. The yearly treasurer's report covered the club's activities and finances. Following the meeting attendees were served by hostess Joyce Peters.
