Clarence Plueger Wins Young GOP Free Dinner Drawing
Clarence Plueger a Grant township farmer won two free dinners from weekly drawings held by the Young Republicans at their headquarters in the former Globe Post building. Registration for drawings continues every Friday night with prizes to Archie's Wayside Inn until the November 3 election. Firemen found no flames at the Red Peck residence but smoke and odor from an overheated furnace prompted an alarm at 10 a.m. Upstairs the Pecks family lived. downstairs tenants were Mr and Mrs Ken Gerdes.
