They captured yearling boar first, matchless Jr. and sweepstakes on the same hog, plus sweepstakes on a boar and herd, and third on sow produce. They plan a November sale of about fifty young boars from Matchless Perfection to boost Ply mouth County hog breeding. The county’s stock quality is praised for improving all livestock exhibited. Death of Mrs Michael McMahon
The death from paralysis of the heart occurred shortly after midnight on Thursday. Anna Flynn, born in Ireland on April 21, 1887, had lived in Plymouth county most of her life. She married twice, first in Edinburgh, then Michael McMahon of Negawnee, later moving to Struble and finally LeMars. Survived by her husband and five children, funeral held Sunday at St. James Church with large attendance and many neighbors paying respects. Dr. Frank McMahon preceded in death last May.

Burglars In LeMars Nearly Silent Night Raid
A string of early Saturday burglaries in south LeMars disturbed about six families. A tall man in white pants and a second conspirator were seen near E H Carey’s home on Main Street as a window was forced. Shots were exchanged, but no injuries reported. Other attempts followed at G A Gobtsch’s Magle Street residence and at the Boyle home. The Pavlovic property, a horse buggy and harness, was stolen from Washington Street. a large search, including postal cards and police telephones, yielded no clue. Christian Voss Dies In Plymouth County Farm Life Leader
Christian Voss a respected Plymouth county farmer died at his Park street home Sunday after months of illness. Funeral held Tuesday at 2 30 pm at German Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Geo A Rheinfrank. Born in Germany sixty eight years ago he came to America young and settled in Plymouth county in 1878. He married Sarah Meyer February 26 1878 in LeMars. Survived by widow a son Arthur and three daughters Mrs M Neissius Marion township and Miss Matilda and Miss Florence Voss at home. Thieves attempted to force the front window of the D W McCarthy residence on Main Street around 3 AM Sunday but fled after the Misses McCarthy screamed. Police found an iron bar beneath the window but no clues. Mr McCarthy armed himself and the family stayed awake for the rest of the night.
