Liberty School Elects Officers For Year
Liberty school lists student officers for four grades with seniors Clinton Lindsey as president and LaVerne Baldwin as secretary treasurer. Juniors Juanita Christensen and Cornelius Rolfes lead, sophomores Norma Tullis and Joan Yoerger, freshmen Janice Yoerger and Jo an Yoerfer. Sponsors are Miss Grazis, Mrs. Paul Vondrak, and Mr. Rance. Basketball starts after Oct 1 with a girls team possible. No school Oct 10 and 11 during six weeks tests.

Community group elects officers and lists film committee
At a recent auditorium meeting officers were elected for the coming year. President is Mrs J J Rance and secretary treasurer is Mrs Frank Yoerger. A serving committee includes Mrs W Tullis and others. A motion picture committee met to select films. Movies are to be shown every two weeks on Thursdays with community meetings on the third Tuesday of each month. Slips will be sent home with children.

Sewey Special Highlights Local Church Conference
Rev J E Lombard attended the Northwest Iowa Conference of the Methodist church in Eagle Grove last week. Numerous community members and families are listed with moves visits and church events. A large funeral gathering for D F McArthur from Le Mars was noted with many relatives attending. Interment occurred in Le Mars cemetery.
