Seed Potatoes Scarce Warn Early Purchase And Storage

Digging began mid September. knobby Ohio tubers may serve as seed if sound, and small tubers weighing at least one ounce with 20 bushels per acre can be used. Fitch notes Cobblers from Iowa peat, bought for seed, are viable if stored well and grown this year from certified northern seed.

Ireton Pheasants Thrive In Dry Summer Conditions

Crop yields for Ireton pheasants benefited from hot dry weather with many pairs seen and 12 to 20 young per pair. A wet season is damaging to pheasants as it is to turkeys and chickens.
