Excursion tickets go on sale September 22 from Sioux City to Hot Springs and return ten dollars. Round trip to Deadwood and Lead and back costs fifteen dollars. Train departs Sioux City at 5 15 p m. H H Freeman ticket agent. Mr D Mosher of Kempton transacted business in Le Mars Monday.
The board of supervisors issued warrants from the county fund for court reports, school texts, insurance, and various clerical fees. A heavy June storm moved through the county Monday from about 2 am to 5 am with 3.65 inches of rain in LeMars and 6.43 inches overall. The electrical storm damaged phones and lights, flooded cellars, and washed out the Fulton Street bridge, causing track delays and crop damage in grain and hay stacks. The Floyd River and local creeks rose rapidly while town grades and approaches washed away.

Henry N Newell reports winter wheat yields for six acres at Stanton Township on Sept 16 1905. Six acres produced 134 bushels about 22 1 3 bushels per acre from seed sown fall 1904. Companion planting of ten bushels of bearded wheat on 5 1 8 acres yielded 64 bushels or 13 bushels per acre.
