Warren HG Olen dies after long illness

The 42nd resident of Le Hevane died in June at a hospital after attending business in Minnesota. Survived by daughter Nancy Fowler and sisters Mae Stinton of Wash., Gertrude Frederickson of Long Beach View, and an aunt Mrs. Fred Burin of Akron. World War I veteran.

Second grade students excited by a shed caterpillar skin and its cocoon hopeful for a butterfly in spring. They study butterfly life cycles and the fierce-eyed caterpillar becoming a swallowtail, while coloring and reviewing stories from first grade and practicing last year's number combinations with the new Jolly Numbers books.

In Miss Huber's third grade twenty eight students include eighteen boys and eleven girls with two new students Gary Miller and Joan Sanon. They study geometric figures add arithmetic using a tens chart money and paper squares. Music occurs twice weekly and crayon etching and art display hopes are noted. Larry Smith treated the class last Thursday at age eight on September 15. Fourth grade forms an English club with elected officers Bobby K president and Sylvia secretary. Social studies covers land and water divisions map continents and oceans. Twenty group members drink milk this week. Fifth grade reports Unit 1 Young Citizens of Today in reading while arithmetic covers moments subtrahend and difference. Timed tests in addition and subtraction and microscope work on potato starch are mentioned.
