Bridget Elen Moran died at her home on 126 Fourth Avenue N. W. Monday at 6 p m after four and one half months of illness. She was 76 years four months and twenty three days old. The funeral was at 9 a m from St James church with Father L J Cooper officiating. Burial followed at St Joseph's cemetery. Born in Scranton Pa on April 27 1852 she grew up here and married Hugh Moran in Winona Minnesota on May 6 1873. He died December 30 1916. Surviving are 12 children eight sons and one daughter living in Minnesota Iowa South Dakota Montana Illinois and Wisconsin. plus four sisters and 17 grandchildren.

Mrs. Gerrit DeJong of Orange City died Tuesday evening at 8 due to old age and diabetes. Funeral services Thursday at 1:30 from the home and 2 p.m. at Trinity church, conducted by Rev. Van Zooveren, partly English and partly Dutch. Survived by six sons and daughters including Peter DeJong and John DeJong, both of Orange City, George De Jong of Orange City, and Nellie Lammers, who has died. The DeJong lineage traces to Holland emigrants of 1856, with family branches in Pella and LeMars.
