Fire destroys barn on Kingsley farm

Fire of undetermined origin destroyed a barn on Sept. 4 at the former Myra Paulin acreage at the east edge of Kingsley. Firemen let the blaze burn to save the nearby small house of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lorenz while the barn storage held feeders materials for a future car wash and greenhouse supplies. The loss was not insured.

Erichson of Remsen sells 20 angus steers at Sioux City Stockyards on Thursday. Cattle average 1278 pounds at $27.25 per cwt.
