The county board takes responsibility for 110 sweaters for men women and children along with 20 operating gowns 15 hospital pajamas 30 boys shirts 25 layettes 75 girls dresses and 15 women's dresses. Volunteers are urged to knit for destitute refugees and contact Mrs R D Sherman LeMars or branch chairmen across towns. Yarn received at county HQ will be sent to branches with instructions as requests arrive.

Charles Reid Dies in Ireton Community News
Charles Reid died September 6 after a bout with nephritis following a flu illness. He served on four World War fronts and was gassed. He married Le Nora Vlothe in 1920 and they had five children. Survived by widow, five children, one brother, one sister, and many relatives. He was a Lutheran, buried in Ireton with attendees from Sioux Falls and nearby towns.
