James Bozenkief surprised on 21st birthday August 29 with old schoolmates visiting. Melbourne Sunday school picnic at New Deal park in LeMars with ball and horseshoes. Mr and Mrs Leland Spies and Mr and Mrs Lars Spies of Merrill spent Sunday at the G F Spies home.

Mr and Mrs Theodore Fischer and Arlene returned from a Chicago visit and calls in Blairsburg Ta with relatives. They were joined by Mrs Russell Miller Darline Herman Seiler of Marshall Minnesota and Miss Lorraine Pabst of Sanborn Minnesota. The group remained briefly in Theo and Albert Fischer homes. O W Weidauer and Patty visited their daughter and son-in-law Harold Logan at Diller Nebraska for several days.

Mieras family reunion draws 100 at LeMars park
More than 100 relatives gathered at LeMars park on Friday August 92 for the annual Mieras family reunion. Three deaths and three births occurred in the past year within the group. The oldest attendee was Mrs. Anna Van Wecel aged 87 from Orange City. Mrs. Hael Seely of Scottsbluff Nebraska traveled the farthest. The group plans to meet again next year at the same place and around the same time.
