Several residents travel to Jamestown, ND and Hawarden for family care.
Remsen locals host silver wedding anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. James Goudie at the K C Hall. Social club meetings, card parties, and visits mark a busy period. Residents greet relatives, attend church and hospital visits, with several trips to Sioux City and Des Moines for events and training.
Chas Banck and family plan a combined business and pleasure trip starting this week to Howard 8 D then to Huron for the state fair. Mrs Albers of LeMars visited at daughter Chas Banck's home. Arnold Rahliff and friends tour South Dakota. M and Mrs Maurice Edwards and infant visited Nellie Edwards in Sioux Falls and attended a funeral in Ireton. Wilbur Trafton hosted the De Graffs moonlighters then they returned to Chicago. Lillian Miller and Joyce visited Lincoln Neb. John McDougall and son were Sioux City visitors. A heavy rain fell here Sunday with some areas reporting damaging wind hail and cloudbursts.
Ireton figures recap three week trips to relatives in eastern Iowa including the state fair. Couples return from two week visits to Minnesota. Clergy family visits Nebras ka. A daughter arrives September 3 at Helen a Mont. Trips to Sioux Falls and Manhattan Kansas noted. Cedar Rapids guest in Ireton. Sea Mars visitor from Se oux City. Marathon visit with nephew Dean and summer stay. Huesinkveld returns from Minnesota.
Mrs Samuel Hartinger of Aberdeen credits Konjola with ending a decade of stomach trouble nerve distress and fatigue after five bottles. She reports digestion improvement sleep and energy, and notes she will take the two bottles as a present. The ad claims Konjola is widely sold through The Nicolls Pilcher Drug Co in LeMars and other towns.
Wicken and baby from Sioux City visited here Sunday. Mr and Mrs Abe Schouten of Rock Valley visited at his parents home Sunday. L L Smith and wife spent early week in Crofton Nebraska for county fair and to see old friends. Jim Morris left Monday for Pasadena California. Dorothy Johnson of Iowa City arrived for a short visit with her parents. They all motored to the lakes for a few days outing Tuesday. Mr and Mrs Clarence Sinkey welcomed a fine son September 8. Mr and Mrs H Kraymier and son departed for home at Momen Missouri after visiting here and Pipestone Minnesota. Mr and Mrs R J Smith and Mr and Mrs Harry Smith attended the Legion convention at Sioux City this week. Mr and Mrs Herman Rossman and son of Alcester visited here. Mr and Mrs Fred Linderman and Mr and Mrs Art Linderman of Hawarden visited here Sunday.
S. W. Washington reports a social notice citing Mr. and Mrs. Herman Weyen and daughter DeLoris, along with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Fisher and Lucy Fisher, among others in the community social roster.
