Mr and Mrs James L Redmond and family with Raine Lamourex of Sioux City and others visited the Redmond home on Sunday. Guests included Anna Mond Mary Mond Lena Mahlke Mrs Freda Borchers and Leora Layton who went to Sheldon Tuesday for the 76th Anniversary celebration.
Farmers to participate in a Minnesota hog show with colleges assisting. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Evangelical United Brothers Church will meet on Eid Pech on Thursday at 2 30. Mrs Johanna Pech and Mrs Pauline Adler assist Mrs Pech. Mrs Thos Koch to read devotions. Business to follow with social hour and refreshments provided by hostesses.
The Women’s Club begins the 1947 48 season with the first meeting on Wednesday September 3 at Mrs Louis Neumayer’s home replacing the yearbook scheduled venue. Hostesses are Mrs Gertrude Alberts and Mrs Robert Lake with program leaders Mrs Arnold Coppock and Mrs Clyde Coppock. The Plymouth Church Brotherhood holds its September meeting at Mr and Mrs Alfred Tone’s on Tuesday September 2. The Annual Men’s Picnic is set for Wednesday September 3 at Le Mars Park. attendees should bring hors d oeuvres and the Brotherhood will provide meat and drinks.
