Margo Beer Permit Suspended by Le Mars Council
The Margo tavern at 102 Central Ave. NE had its beer permit suspended for two weeks until Dec. 1 by the Le Mars city council at a special 5 p.m. meeting. County Attorney William S. Sturges requested the action, with Mayor Rudy Adler informing Mr. and Mrs. Nis Nissen. The tavern closed Saturday. no sale of beer or liquor is allowed during suspension.

Command change at 14th artillery unit prompts transfer
Lt. Col. Hubert Sheldon relieves Col. Brodie as commander of the 14th artillery at Sioux Reserve unit amid a ceremony after duty. Col.
