Young Doctor Weds In Akron Quiet Ceremony
Dr. Robert Brown and Miss Miriam Patricia Kennedy were married Wednesday evening at the Akron M. E. parsonage in a small ceremony attended by immediate relatives. The groom, a U.S. Army veterinary lieutenant from Bliss Texas, will be promoted to captain on July 1. After visiting relatives, the couple will go to Fort Bliss to establish their home.

Six cars and nine people were detained by police and highway patrolmen at a Sheldon cabin camp amid alleged fraud in fur sales. Police say Minnesota authorities linked a wanted man to a fraud case involving rabbit skin coats sold as seal skins. Tommy Williamson was arrested on a fraud warrant. extradition proceedings followed. Others in the group, from Wichita Kansas, included Robert and other Williamson relatives. Waterman Hurt When Hitchhiking Near Hawarden
A serious accident occurred at Million Dollar corner Thursday afternoon as Waterman of Hawarden, hitchhiking home from Missouri, stepped off a truck before it stopped. He was thrown to the pavement and the rear wheels ran over his legs, severely fracturing one above the knee. He was rushed to Hawarden hospital in an ambulance and is in critical condition.
