Good Turn Day Set For April 19 By Prairie Gold Scouts

Erich Schlueter of Goodwill Sioux City notes that the Prairie Gold Council will observe Good Turn Day on April 19. Cub Scouts in Le Mars will distribute clothing bags and patrons are asked to fill them for the handicapped program at Goodwill Industries. Last year Le Mars collected 1335 bags out of 1390 distributed, a strong return.

Clothing and Fabric Drive Seeks Donated Articles

The drive requests discarded clothing for men women and children and all usable fabrics including shoes curtains linens and bedding. No newspapers or magazines are to be included. Collection points will accept filled bags during the following week.

An association of insurance agents was formed in Le Mars after a March 26 1958 meeting at Cora's Tea Room. Attendees included A H Stoeber George Pawlek Leo R Flaherty and others and Gordon Tentinger was elected president with Harry Kramer as vice president and Eleanor Du Bois as secretary and treasurer. The group planned to formalize the new organization.
