Mrs Pat Coffey died at her home in Minneapolis Tuesday evening after about a year of illness. Survived by husband formerly of Le Mars and Northwestern Cooperative banking system official, six children aged 5 to 21, two sisters predeceased her, funeral plans not yet received, Le Mars kin attending include Mrs Anna Moran and Mrs F R Despardis of Sioux City, Sr Mary Perpetua of Omaha. Born Rock Rapids Iowa, nee Agnes Bridget Hale.
Track hopefuls at Western Union have trained two weeks as weather improves to start time trials for track team spots. Jim Borsheim leads prospects in broad jump dash and high jump with a 23 foot broad jump. Other notables include Urban Ebinger Lloyd Geweke Morris Somerville Bob Wildman Melvin Elhard Rosky Gustav Schoenherr and Wesley Wulflauhle. All indications point to a successful season for the Eagles.
Coach Crayne awarded basketball letters to 10 players at Western Union College. Capt. Jim Borsheim was the only squad member lost by graduation. The Hapgles had a winning season with bright prospects next year. Four forwards received letters besides Borsheim and Len Gustafson.
