Missionary programs at St Pauls Lutheran and Ladies Aid activities. numerous local visits, travel, and family notices across Ireton and surrounding towns.
Fredonia reports Albert Lundgren and Thorvald Kloster at a creamery meeting in Orange City. Sunday school teachers from Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran church met at Rev A M Petersen’s home in Marcus for a regular gathering and lunch. Numerous families including Petersen Kloster Miller and Nielsen joined events at Nick Kloster home Sunday to celebrate Myrna’s birthday, with many visits to homes of Nielsen Mortensen Juhl and others through Sunday and Monday.
A special correspondent notes rain fell in Grant township on Monday morning benefiting grain and corn. Many have already been cutting and are cultivating for a second time, with prospects for a bumper crop this year. Mrs. Jack Powers of Denver, Colorado, visits Harm home. she is sister of Mrs. Heeren. Next, Mr. and Mrs. Gerd von Hagel were visitors in the John Ludwigs home. Several Grant residents attended Brunsville carnival with a parade and a double header. Brunsville beat Craig. Grant beat Brunsville in the second game. Dick Frerichs returned from Rochester, Minnesota. his mother, who had a serious operation, is improving. Eighth grade graduates of Grant township listed: Elmer Asseln, Mildren Brabander, Elvera Garrels, Edwin Hanstein, Erwin Harms, Arlene Hauschild, Royal Hawkins, Lucille Heeren, Lillian Kleihauer, Alvin Ludwigs, Gerd Ludwigs, Catherine Nolan, Walter Renken. Mr. and Mrs. Will Tonsfeldt of Remsen, Mr. and Mrs. John Harms and families, and Mr. and Mrs. John Hauschild and families attended at the Harm Heeren home.
Friday and Sunday visits mark a busy week with Borchers and Klemme families in Chatsworth LeMurs and Harris. Robbie Rain returns home from grandparents John Heeren, while a large crowd attends eighth grade graduation at the high school auditorium. A Presbyterian church ladies aid event and several Sioux City outings add to the rundown of community activities with fishing trips to Silver Lake and Okoboji and a house sale near Merril shifting ownership to Emil Lauschadt.
Reports show Mrs. Lauschadt’s farm destroyed by fire last winter. Throughout the area, residents including the Reynolds, Klemme, Borchers, Heeren, and Kallsen families visited, hosted, or traveled for social and family duties with church and community events noted. Several LeMars and Hawarden connections appear, along with a Brunsville carnival and a Sacred Heart hospital operation.
Local notes report Craig and Mrs D W Eliiott leaving their Emma Baack building apartment for a West town house owned by Farmers Savings Bank. Mentions visits by Opal Husby, Dareth Frerichs honored for county spelling champ, and graduation exercises at LeMars with Craig school attendees.

Plymouth Presbyterian Rev. I. G. Smith of Sioux City will deliver the usual Sunday morning sermon at 11 o'clock in the absence of Rev. W. E. Smith.
On June 19 the Hildreth Memorial Evangelical church marks 100 years of Evangelical Missionary Society service with church school at 9 45 and a children's day program at 10 45 a.m. The celebration features a full program with preludes welcomes prayers songs recitations and performances by children and beginners including locals Helen Parkinson Dickie Gillis Robert Koch Ronald White Leland Byres Donna May Schultz and Delong White.
The First Methodist church presents a Children s Day program with junior choir solos and a pageant featuring Estelle Deedrick Lucille Nelson and others. Rev Henry Rolfes returned Friday from the priests retreat at Trinity college Sioux City. Miss Marian Schnepf left for Long Beach California to resume work after visiting here. Josephine and John Hentges attended the funeral of their uncle Theodore Hackett at Cherokee on Saturday morning.

Mrs Jennie Kamstra dies at Orange City. born 1866 in the Netherlands she immigrated at 19 and married Wever Kamstra in 1886. survivors include several children.

Tim Oordt of Bellflower California and Mrs Andrew Hop of Maurice left twenty six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers Evert and Jake Riepma. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Protestant Reformed church with Rev Gritte and Rev Ver Meer officiating. Burial followed in Orange City cemetery. Out of town relatives included Mrs Martha Swartz of Princeburg Minnesota and Riveret Riepma and family of Hawarden.
