Kingsley resident Frank Wendel chosen as one of fifteen delegates from Iowa State College to attend the Y M C A convention at Lake Geneva Wisconsin June 12 to 20. Local politics report a close supervisor race with Parry leading Kitterman by 29 votes in incomplete returns. Golfers from Holstein visit Kingsley for an invitational 18 hole match, Kingsley prevailing 151 to 21 points. Ireton 4-H Girls Sweep Sioux County Rally Honors
The Ireton 4-H girls dominated a county wide contest among nine clubs at Orange City, winning several top honors. They captured first place on the most appropriate table, first in the five minute stunt The Song of the Lark, and first in the music memory contest earning a phonograph. Eagle township earned second in stunts Pictures of the Past, praised for its depth and leadership by Mrs Kenneth Johnson. Reading township presented a younger group with In the Hall of Huntin King, Center township impressed with The Barefoot Boy, and about 150 attendees enjoyed a noon dinner at the Orange City public school.
