The 9th district convention will be hosted September 28 1955 with a giant parade planned and committees being formed.

Car Truck Crash Near Le Mars Livestock Sales

A car struck two pickups on Highway 33 northeast of Le Mars near the Le Mars Livestock Sales barn Wednesday night about 10 15. Donald Wicher of Sioux City drove south and hit the Vondrak pickup, then crossed the road to strike James Mitchell’s vehicle. No injuries per police report though a young boy reportedly struck his head on a windshield.

Fines In Mayor and Justice Courts List Builders

A district court roundup lists individuals fined this week in mayor and justice courts. Wilmer Vrammen faced a stop sign violation with a $10 fine, Clarence Schnepf and W G Baack for intoxication at $12.50 each. L G Grover of Sioux City had no operator's license and was fined $12.50. John E Crowell, Sioux City, overweight on No 1 axle earned $18.90. Gerd H Johnson of Le Mars paid $15 for no 1955 registration. Gilbert Van dersteen of Sheldon fined $10 for track speeding. J D Hardbolt of Oklahoma City paid $10 for overlength. Don Watson overweight on registration at $8. Ervin Klunjan of Edgerton Minnesota overweight on No 2 axle paid $6. Elmer Molzen paid $8.60 for overweight status.
