LeMars defeated Grant 1 to 0 in Brunsville on Sunday. Tulip Day was observed in Orange City last Thursday and Friday. Gerd Ludwigs visited the area Monday. Evangeline Abrendt daughter of Rev and Mrs Fred Abrendt of Davenport Washington underwent appendicitis surgery at Sacred Heart Hospital in LeMars. Rev and Mrs Alrendt and family are visiting Grant relatives.

Remembering Julious and moving plans of locals

Julious, formerly Maxine Ford, a commercial teacher here, will be remembered. Cecil Cooper left for Minneapolis to visit relatives before heading to Finlayson Minnesota for the summer. Mrs M Soeth of Storm Lake guest at the G L Houston home as the Soeths of Hurley visited relatives here last week. Abe Schouten and daughters of Canton South Dakota visited Mr and Mrs Schouten’s parents on Sunday. Louis Noethe of Alton was here Tuesday to tend political fences. Mr and Mrs Wm Kerns and daughter of LeMars visited relatives. Decoration day brought R Fredericks and his son from Tyler Minnesota for a visit last week.
