Naval Aviator Candidate Lubben attends Pensacola school
James D. Lubben son of Henry S. and Mrs. Lubben of Le Mars is in the AVROC program and attends Aviation Officer Candidate school at Pensacola. The program covers air navigation aircraft communications and naval leadership during summers. Upon earning a degree he will be commissioned as a Naval officer and continue training in Pensacola. Stanley W. Lindgren of Kingsley was promoted to Army specialist five on July 1 at Ft. Carson, serving with the 69th brigade. He joined active duty in May 1968. his wife Sylvia resides in Colorado Springs.

Randy Langel Named to St Johns Honor Roll
Randy Langel son of Mr and Mrs Roman Langel of Le Mars has earned a place on the St Johns University spring honor roll in Collegeville Minnesota with a 3.00 GPA. He is a freshman pre engineering major among 122 students honored this term. St Johns is a four year liberal arts college for men with 1550 students and near Minneapolis. The Benedictine school recently began a cooperative coeducation plan with nearby College of St Benedict.

Kingsley Jaycees and others gathered at the Sitzmann farm to harvest beans and later hay 18 acres at the Litzmann farm.
