Bud Britt Injured By A Mower In July Incident
Vernon Bud Britt, a farmer from four miles north of Neptune, was injured Wednesday July 23 while cranking a power lawn mower. A gash required stitches and he was reported improving with no limp. Two similar accidents occurred the same day involving mower blades, with guards evidently absent on the machines.

The 12th annual effort to locate tuberculous cases among close contacts ends with x ray screening and skin tests at a conference on Friday August 1 1952 in Le Mars Iowa Carolina Terrace. Public health nurse Ann Garrard reports high cooperation and notes tests are by physician recommendation and x ray results go to physicians. The program is funded by Christmas Seal funds and supported by Plymouth County Medical Society Plymouth County Tuberculosis Association Town Tuberculosis and Health Association and the Iowa State Department of Health.

A summer tour June 30 with Jim Nuss present toured the Cornelis Wolf farm, judged projects, had a picnic at Lowell Parks, played ball, and concluded at 3 30 p m.
