Ed Duebel of Sacred Heart hospital LeMars after threshing accident. Foot caught in machine chain. two toes amputated and foot badly injured. Also notes death of Marvin Klaschen aged 12 from heart trouble at Sacred Heart hospital. Funeral held at St. Pauls Evangelical church.
Mr and Mrs Peter Trieber and Mr and Mrs Lester Cain with children visited friends near LeMars on Sunday Prof Wm Brower from Chicago was among those noted in the gathering citations with local social interest and regional connections
Harry and daughter Florence of Grand Rapids Michigan assist Max Feldman who, after treatment in a Sioux City hospital, can move in a wheelchair and plans a trip to Rochester for further relief.
S W Washington and families visited Sioux City on Monday while John and Dorothy Swanky from Nebraska visited relatives nearby. Bud Buhman and Art Tullis joined Brunsville’s baseball team as catcher and left short. Viola Mariensa returned home to Brunsville after vacation near Worthing South Carolina. A farewell party honors John Swany and his sister at the Bob Ruble home as Chatsworth and Brunsville plan an evening of dancing with Fred Plueger and John Plueger families attending.
Bill Plueger and his children visited Henry Plueger on Sunday. Mr and Mrs Fred Jans called on Tillie Utesch. A large Brunsville crowd attended the Sunday ball game with Ed and Chatsworth winning. Laverne Vanderham stayed with his cousin Lucy Fisher of Brunsville for a few days.
Tuesday evening a number of friends gathered at the Charles Mammen home for Minnie Mammen's birthday. Visits included Leonard Wilken with Gert von Hagel and Werman Heeren. Anna Osterbuhr assisting Mrs. Otto Oltmann. Anna Heeran at the John Wilken home near Chatsworth. Friday evening birthdays for Harry Westhoff noted. A junior basketball game saw Grant girls 9 Brunsville 5. Guests at Helen Heeren’s birthday included the Renken and Heer en families, Schulz, Doering, Mammen and Meyer households. Rev F A Meyer and wife visited relatives. A B Doering and daughter Rose were LeMars callers Friday.
Mrs. Dick Harms and Vivjean and Mrs. Mauricce Vernony and daughters spent Thursday afternoon visiting at the Austin Muth home near Hawarden. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harter of Granville visited friends in Brunsville. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harms and family motored to Ireton. Miss Marie Johnson was a business caller in Merrill. Mrs. E. J. Baack and daughter Lorraine of Woodstock spent the week visiting the Gert Null home in Brunsville. Edw. Johnson is repairing the roof on his store. Mr. and Mrs. George Wilkens attended the Sweet tent show in LeMars. A Brunsville girls team and the Grant girls played a six inning game at the Von Hagel pasture, Grant winning 9 to 5. Mrs. Edw. Dirks and children visited relatives in Akron. A few from the vicinity attended Rivieriox weekly dance. Frank Port and children and Mrs. Fred Jans visited the Richards home. Cleo Coleman returned home from Omaha. Miss Johanna Dirks transacted business in LeMars. Mrs. Gert Pecks shopped in LeMars. Jesse McHale has been ailing. Mrs. Fred Renken called in Brunsville. T. M Harms was a LeMars caller. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Voges and children of Worthing spent Sunday at Otto Marienau’s. Viola Marienau, visiting Worthing, joined them and remained.

Mrs Tony Tammen celebrated a birthday with friends and relatives Saturday evening. Le Mars residents hosted Sunday visits from numerous guests including the Smiths and Austnes families. The Gerling Family Band from Le Mars performed a local street concert, drawing renewed ties and praise for the performer’s hometown connection and the mayor’s remarks.
Mrs Henry Marienau and children visited the John Dirks home Friday. On Wednesday evening visitors at the Frey Ohtrichs home included Mr and Mrs Jesse Kallsen and family of near Akron along with Mrs arm Heeren and her sons Harlan and Wallace and Emil.
