Eighty five relatives gathered for a Blackmore family picnic at New Deal Park in Le Mars on Sunday July 9 with attendees from Merrill Hinton Sioux City Seattle Maurice and Struble areas. The longest distance travelers were Lester Stephens and family from Seattle. The oldest attendee was Grandma Blackmore and the youngest Lori Kay Blackmore. The group plans a second Sunday gathering in July 1962 in Le Mars park.
