Le Mars Iowa July 2 1933 the board of supervisors in adjourned session approves minutes from June 18 21 and 25 and authorizes grading and bridging on project L 833 by Clark Construction Co and Harry Noel. H W Greenwaldt of Neptune granted cigarette sale permit after bond approval. Bills paid include county salaries supplies and maintenance with numerous local vendors and services listed.

Items include care for persons, office supplies, repairs, hauling, provisioning for the poor, clothing, and June rents, totaling a mid 20th century municipal expense ledger.

Mr and Mrs Will Borchers of Preston township and Mrs Henry Johnson of Brunsville were LeMars business callers on Tuesday. Mr and Mrs John Dirks Johanna and Walter, Brunsville, and Herman Renken of Grant township returned home Friday after several weeks at their son’s home.

Birth day dues to be brought. Terry Riter, visiting in the E H Riter and W E Heinrich homes, returned home at Marcus Sunday. Home missionary society met with Mrs Reeves Wednesday. George Mills of Mankato called on friends and handled business. Ed Kass of Le Mars was a caller. Chas Kunath and brothers spent days fishing at Silver Lake. BE Kennedy and children of Hawarden called on relatives Wednesday. M J Lancaster and sons Edwin and Edgar, and Vincent Lancaster were in Sioux City Saturday. O Olson and George Siegermass were in Sioux City Tuesday. Constance Chapman and Jessie Kennedy returned from Town City. Nate Conner and family visited in Conner's home Sunday. Ralph Southwick and family and daughter Violet and son also noted.
Mrs. Mary Denning, sister of Mrs. Susan Rayburn, travels from her home to Oaks North Carolina to visit Mrs. Susan Rayburn and her niece Mrs. Reser, planning to stay about two weeks before heading to Chicago.
