A daughter was born to Mr and Mrs Harvey Herman on Monday July 13 at their Struble home. Eugene LaFave and a Mitchell, SD friend visited the George Sullivan home Tuesday. Mr and Mrs John Merritt and Mr and Mrs Clem Singer visited Tuesday evening with Mr and Mrs George Ruccy and son Allan Thursday evening. Mrs Paul Gaummtz is confined with quinsy. Miss Eva Steack of Akron takes a job at Kale Cafe. Mrs J D Lattimer is seriously sick with inflammatory rheumatism. Mrs J A Grimjes visited Simon Grimjes Friday afternoon. Mrs Herman Rolfes is confined with mumps. Mrs Clem Singer helped Harold Betsworth during threshing. The Simon Grimjes threshing crew began their first job Friday afternoon at the Crimjes farm.
