No serious injuries in Le Mars car rollover

William Cook Jr., 42, of Le Mars escaped serious harm when his 19 percent Pontiac left highway 75 around 2 am Saturday, rolled end over end into the median. Sheriff James Mertes reported the single occupant was found in the back seat and taken to Floyd Valley hospital for observation before being released. The wreck was towed by Everready wrecker of Sioux City and left at Stoos Bros.

Relic Found On Gowrie Farm By Dean Winchattle

Dean Winchattle son of Mr and Mrs Beryl Winchattle of Gowrie rural area found the stone head of an Indian tomahawk last month while draining surplus water from a field on their farm. He and his father preserved the perfectly formed specimen for study.
