Four Dead In Flaming Auto Near Nephi Utah

Mrs Dulfrmien Wie Wnhart rushed into a burning car to save her three children Marhura 7 Michard 2 and G. Mayrand 7 from wreckage near Nephi Utah. Her husband Willem A. Jurfman of Los Angeles said the children died from burns or when the car overturned after a blowout three miles from Nephi. A fourth child John 2 survived. The mother was driving them to Los Angeles to visit her husband.

Baby born to Carson family on July Fourth at Moran home

Under doctors care a baby boy was born July 4 at the home shared by Mr. and Mrs. Geo Moran. The mother is a daughter of the Morans, and the newborn is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carson. Mrs. Carson is the Morans’ granddaughter. Mrs. Gralapp broke two ankle bones after a stair fall east of LeMars. she will be hospitalized about a week and bedbound for a month or more. Mrs. Blakeway learns of a daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Willard Blakeway of South Bend on June 29, the great‑granddaughter of Mrs. Blakeway. Mrs. Schneider dislocated her arm after a Fourth of July pay-rope incident at Sacred Heart hospital. Dr. Norman Maurer and his wife welcomed a baby girl weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces at Sacred Heart hospital.

June Wedding Announced for Elvit Falk and Dorothy Berkenpas

Mr and Mrs Frank Falk announce the marriage of their son Elvit to Dorothy Berkenpas daughter of Mr and Mrs Juke Berkenpas of Seney. The ceremony was June 27 in Reno Nevada. The couple traveled to Chico California to meet relatives then plan to reside at 2311 Haste St Berkeley California.

Hawarden Mother Receives Recording From Son in Australia

Hawarden Independent reports Mr and Mrs R C Miller received a phonograph record from their son Max who is with the army in Australia. Max greets his parents says he likes Australia and notes Australians treat Americans fine. He asks Mrs Madson not to worry and says he has received several letters recently. He gained four to five pounds since arriving and the recording was sent via the Red Cross with local chairman A Earl Ross delivering the machine to the Miller farm.

Esther Mueller Dies Suddenl y at LeMars Home

Esther Rosena Agusta Mueller, born December 5 1895 in Maurice Town, died suddenly at 326 Plymouth Friday of a heart ailment. She moved to LeMars in 1931 with her parents and was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survived by four sisters Emma Mueller Wheatridge Olga Siege LeMars Mrs John Watson Mrs Wilma Prust, one brother Emil Mueller LeMars, eight nieces and three nephews. Funeral held at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. L. L.

Renowned Dr. Kirby Page to Visit LeMars Churches

Three services are planned in the Methodist church on Tuesday afternoon and evening July 21 with topics including Practicing the Presence of God and Living Creatively Through Prayer. Navy Booth Attracts Plymouth County Recruits

In Le Mars July 4 and 5 the Navy booth drew young men applying for Navy Reserve service. Participants from Le Mars Remsen Marcus and neighboring towns were listed, with plans to travel to Sioux City for examinations. Remsen Wreck Victims Treated Here For Injuries

Mrs Walter Groeppy daughter Maxine and Mrs Walter Groeppy were treated at the Heart hospital for injuries after a collision several miles south of Remsen. Mr Groeppy and Mr Wenner received minor and slight injuries while the two cars sustained heavy damage.
