Helen Gooseman, 3, wandered from home Wednesday evening and was found hours later in a neighbor’s pasture by Minnie and Alice Mammen. Struble beat Grant 4-6 in a kittenball game Wednesday evening. Miss Elsie Popken helped with housework for Mrs Theo Janssen. Bertha Ahrendt assists sister Mrs John Binnebeese. George Noble visited the Dick Janssen home on Wednesday. J G Grebner returned from Colorado after a weeks visit with relatives. Dr Leonard Hoffmann of Ames has come back for summer vacation and has been taking charge of Dr Eilis' business during his absence. Mrs Adam Tindall and children and Mrs Herb Johnson are mentioned among those affected by the changes.
Agnes of Akron visited at the J G Grabner home. The Merrill bard concert, rained out last Saturday, will be held Tuesday if rain occurs. Laurence Jessen and Rev BE Gillmann attend the Town district American Lutheran conference at Manson. Mr and Mrs H C Larson and children visited Chas Smiths. Mrs R G Williamson returned from Primghar. A baby boy born to Mr and Mrs Albert Weber at Sacred Heart hospital on Monday June 22 died Wednesday morning. Sympathy is extended to the family. Mrs Frank Neubel and daughter Leona visited in Sioux City last week. Mrs Mary Ney of Remsen visited in LeMars and attended a St Josephs social. Local residents and relatives visited, discussed a Spencer fire, and gathered for church banns publication at St Josephs for Alvina Dunn and Isadore Trauffer. The Clark family and Mr Vaske relatives visited.
Harvey Ideker and Chiia Wiener attended the Aberdeen Angus cattle sale at Sioux City sale barns on Thursday. Wiener bought a nice animal. A large turnout from the vicinity attended D Hauff's funeral Wednesday afternoon.
Funeral was held at the Melbourne church and burial took place at Graceland park. Charles Epling Art Epling and A Krause went on a fishing trip to Lake Schetak for a few days. George Howe and Albert Winer spent Friday evening at the C Wiener home. Ed Heimgartner visited the Harvey Idere home Tuesday evening. Andrew Zweifel from Leeds and Mrs R Helmgartner from Lynwood California visited Louie Wetrosky Tuesday. Hans Bornholtz and daughter Trene of Leeds visited Harry Jans Friday. Mr and Mrs Art Epling and family visited Stanley Cooper in Lawton Tuesday. WHI Eberley trucked hogs for Clarence Krause Thursday night.

Survived by wife and four children Paul and John of Sioux City, Henry of Sioux Falls SD, and Kate Myers of Kingsley. Funeral services held Tuesday at home with Rev. Walker officiating.
