Youth dies after horse accident west of Emmetsburg
Ray Joynt husband of Nellie Donovan Joynt, aged nearly 36, died a few hours after a horse fell during a drive home from the Hugh Mackey sale. He sustained a fatal head injury near Union grade while mounting a spirited horse. Funeral at St. Thomas church with burial in St. John's cemetery. He leaves Mrs. Joynt and three sons Richard Dan Gerald, plus five brothers and seven sisters.

Two thousand Iowa farmers and homemakers are expected to attend the twenty sixth annual Farm and Home Week at Iowa State College January 30 to February 2. Railroads offer half fare plus third round trip. daily lectures and demonstrations cover crops soils husbandry economics engineering horticulture dairying poultry and beekeeping with mass meetings and viewing of the state corn and small grain displays.
