Readers report erroneous engagement notices in several papers. Linda Lee of Webb Iowa was incorrectly listed as engaged to Robert Hartman of Le Mars, while the actual engagement was Karen Gustafson to Robert Hartman of Le Mars. The Daily Sentinel printed the corrections after investigation with no clear explanation.

World’s Second Tallest TV Tower Proposed Near Sioux City
Dietrich Dirks president KTIV and Donald Sullivan VP G M People’s Broadcasting announce FCC approval to build a joint 2000 foot TV tower 8 miles northeast of Sioux City in Plymouth county. They expect erection by late summer or early fall and claim it will be the region’s tallest structure and second-tallest TV tower worldwide.

Newly organized Le Mars Jaycee Ettes held their first social event last Saturday night a pol ye supper and bynko party at St George Ebjschpab hall. Attending were Jaycee Ettes and their husbands prospective members. Army PFC Roger N Pottebaum son of Mr and Mrs Al Pottebaum participated in Deeds Alone winter field exercise near Nurnberg Germany. He entered service in November 1963 completed basic at Fort Leonard Wood moved from Fort Knox and shipped overseas.
