Annual meeting of Producers on Association at Martin hotel

In Sioux City the Producers on Association held its annual meeting at the Martin hotel on Thursday. Mrs. Tom Vondrak is recovering from erysipelas. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bonnes with sons visited Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller in Sioux City on Monday. Christine Petersen of Le Mars visited her mother Mrs M Petersen Sunday. Mrs. Mert Helt of Sioux City, well known here, underwent an operation at the Methodist hospital in Sioux City Saturday morning. Agnes Vondrak of Sioux City came home Sunday evening to be with her mother a few days. Sue Waddell spent Saturday evening and Sunday with her sister Mrs Charles Fox and family in Sioux City. Olive Fugate visited relatives in Sergeant Bluffs and friends in Sioux City over the weekend. Mrs Carl Anderson is sick with the grippe. The young people from her who attend high school in Sioux City will enjoy a five-day vacation this week between semesters.

Brunsville Area Residents Active In Visits and Work

North Washington residents visited Le Mars while others hauled coal in recent days. Locals frequent Brunsville homes for visits with Borchers Renken Harms and Diediker families. A new grocery opened in Brunsville by Carl Popken on January 15 and grain hauling occurred at the Borchers farm.

The Honorable W. C. Garberson fixed February 8 for court week in Plymouth County. Grand and petit jury draws included Fred Osterbuhr E, Chas Anderson, and Fred D. Oaken. Also notes marriages, moves, road conditions, and local staffing changes across the community.

East Iowa trip ends as family returns home south of Craig

The party plans several weeks at the George Null residence near Craig after travel to Iowa. Word arrives of Mrs Will Schulz in Aberdeen South Carolina with pneumonia in critical condition. the Schulz family who visited for Christmas week are involved in the update.

Mr and Mrs Lambert Jeffers and daughters Marian and Sue Carel visited Frank Jeffers Sunday afternoon. Miss Jennie Myers spent time with Evelyn Kallsen last week. Hawarden Visitors and Local Health Update

Special correspondent notes John Smith and daughter Ila enjoyed Hawarden business visits Saturday. Mrs J Webinga underwent amputation of the small toe on her left foot at Hull hospital last Thursday. Mr and Mrs Reynold Jenssen returned home to Tyler Minnesota Saturday after visiting relatives in the area.

Local Families Visit as Snow Delays Train Service

Mrs Jenssen now remembered as Miss Mary Noon formerly of Ireton hosts visitors from Lismore Minnesota Frank Sinkey and wife with baby arrive to stay with Wm Sinkeys family. A freight train stalled in 15 foot drifts blocks mail service until sleds and six workers clear tracks. Theodore Sniders moves from Ireton High to Sioux Center to reside with relatives.

Birthday Luncheon Honors Shirley Craik’s Birthday

Mrs Lavere Green hosted a group of young girls last Tuesday afternoon for Shirley Craik’s birthday. The celebration included juvenile games and a birthday luncheon. Dr and Mrs A L Craik are confined to home with the flu.
