Huebsch Koenig Wedding Held at Huebsch Home
The wedding of Christian M. Koenig and Miss Lillian M. Huebsch took place Wednesday January 18, 1905 at 4 PM in Stanton township at the Huebsch residence. Rev A Herzburg officiated as about 150 guests attended the ceremony and reception, with pink and cream decorations and two bridesmaids Carrie Koenig and Tillie Schmidt. The couple will reside four miles south of LeMars, starting their life together in a home built by Koenig.

Death of George Ewers a long-time Prenton resident
George Ewers born May 22 1825 Pendleton New York died Wednesday morning at his home in Prenton township after a brief pneumonia illness. He lived with his son Will Ewers since his wife’s death last November and was an esteemed Presbyterian and civic figure. He leaves three sons George William and H S Ewers, with a large family of siblings and many friends mourning his loss. The funeral was held Friday at the Will Ewers home and interment followed beside his wife in Le Mars.

Word arrived of Dr W H Ensminger's sudden death at his Chicago residence on Champlain Avenue and 48th Street after a tiring day with patients. A Jefferson College graduate and Civil War veteran, he practiced in LeMars before moving to Chicago. If he had lived to March 26 he would have been 63. Remains to be laid at Oakwood cemetery.

Frank Wegner of Cincinnati returned east on Wednesday after a business trip to oversee Moerlein Brewing Company interests. A larger ice house will be built near the Omaha tracks facing the Union depot to serve Eisenbecker in whose territory beer sales are very large. The old ice house on Illinois Central tracks between Sixth and Main was too small. The enlargement aligns with growing demand for Moerlein beer locally.
