The Kolbeck siblings and their cousins left for Salem South Dakota. D Lampert welcomed a baby girl, with Mrs Lampert formerly Florence Lucey. The Dreckman families enjoyed a Sunday gathering with F Holzman Sr. Rosella Farmer hosted Virla Cook from Seney. Peter Delperdang visited as a LeMars caller. Nick Kellen and family showcase a new radio installed by Nick Mertes. Raymond Johanning from St Kilian stopped by the Al Koopman home.
Seney special cor respondent notes W H Reeves and Mrs Geo Hughes drove to Kingsley last Friday to visit Mr and Mrs Arkie Hauck. Mrs Hauck is known here as Miss Eilen Hughes and the Haucks are parents of a recently born baby girl. W B Heinrich visited Sioux City Friday and Rev and Mrs S J Wallace of Akron dropped by Saturday.
Liberty Center reports a parent teacher meeting held last Saturday with no program due to a misunderstanding. John Mertes shelled corn for Geo Dennler on Monday. Co D Eberhard had hogs on the Sioux City market January 8. The farm bureau meeting was postponed to next Wednesday. The Liberty basketball team practiced at Merrill gym last Monday. C D Eberhard and family visited Frank Tullis who has a new radio on trial Sunday night.
Fredonia residents attended a farm bureau meeting at Center school with a diverse program including community singing reading and a fire safety talk by Van Citters of Alton. Guests Dagmar Lee and several Kloster and Bogh family members joined nearby events and a sewing lesson followed by social hours.
A flurry of weeklong visits across Kingsley Moville and nearby towns includes Mr and Mrs C H Bergendahl and others visiting relatives in Boone Moville and Sergeant Bluffs. Baby girl born to Basil Dorn January 13 1926. Pneumonia claims H W Goodnow of Pierson after hospital stay. Several residents travel to Sioux City Hot Springs Ark and Canada for health visits and family visits persist through mid January.
Local notes from Craig and surrounding area report Henry Baack retiring from farming and moving to town choosing Craig as a future home after purchasing the Albert Hincson residence in north Craig. Other items note town meetings authorizing dog and poll taxes, frequent visits by Onno Croon to Hawarden for medical relief, and a marriage notice for Miss Rose Pereboom and John Janssen in Sioux City.
