Assessors Agree On Salary And Tax Schedule

The board of supervisors and assessors set this year s pay unchanged from two years ago noting census year work was harder. A new schedule fixes levies on livestock crops machinery and instruments with reductions on horses mules and yearling steers and new rules for tractors phonographs and real estate assessments.

May Organize K. of C. Council In Remsen

A movement to form a separate K. of C. council in Remsen gains support per the Bell Enterprise. State Deputy J. C. Mullaney of Sioux City discussed the plan with Rev. H. J. Schleler. many Remsen members favor forming the new council. If organized, Trinity Council members from LeMars would likely join. A meeting is planned next week to decide future action.
