Plans were laid for the 50th anniversary reunion of Le Mars High School 1913 graduates. A meeting at the Oak Room of the public library Wednesday evening was led by Mr and Mrs Harold Pew and Mrs C D Hart. Attendees included Paul Trauffer Rome Hentges Harold Rothchild and others from the class. The reunion is planned for this spring.
Miss Shirley Colling and Joseph Lewis united in marriage at 10 a.m. Saturday February 23 at St Marys Catholic church in Remsen. Attendants included Mrs Garry Galles and Charleen Barthole with Jean ie Arens as flower girl and James Feller as ring bearer. Bestman Ronald Mullally and Gerald Lewis served as groomsman. Reception followed at the VFW Hall in Remsen. The couple spent their weekend in Omaha and reside in Le Mars.
Seney visitors include Dale Cook and family at Jack Cook home. Richard Dorothy returns from Fort Dodge school. Toni Lancaster and Ilene Shepherd visit Omaha with Joy Pottala. The Augustana Blue Key chapter announces new members including Chris Hagen of Le Mars Iowa and Wayne Weber of Lesterville among a group of inductees. Dean Jorgen Thompson serves as advisor as the national office approves the charter dated May 12, 1948.

Jake Berkenpas celebrated his 53rd wedding anniversary with family Sunday at the Berkenpas home, including Leonard Berkenpas and Mary, Bill Berkenpas, Marion Van Roekel family, Walter Renken, Patty and Karen, Frances Staebell and daughters, Art Berkenpas and Carla, and Lavern Meyer. Earl Chapman attended a REA meeting in Le Mars. Abe Schiebout announces Larry Achterhof as District Show Chairman for Scoutingland Exposition to be held within 6 weeks with live demonstrations by Cub Scout units.
